Connecting a Social Media Business Page

To start saving time on social media, the first thing you should do is connect your business's social media pages with SHP. Instead of having to log in separately to each social media, SHP enables you to conveniently manage all your connected pages from a single location. This helps streamline your social media management and makes it more efficient for you.

LinkedIn and Facebook

The following instructions show you how to add a LinkedIn and Facebook Business pages to your SHP account:

1. Open a new tab or window in your browser and sign out of Facebook or LinkedIn

2. In SHP, go to the Team page

3. Click on the +Add Page/Group button on the upper right corner

4. Select the page you'd like to add (Facebook or LinkedIn) and click Connect

4. Follow the authentication steps provided by the respective networks.

5. Click Continue to give SHP permissions to manage the selected page.

6. Once redirected to SHP, activate the page by clicking the small box beside it and select the Connect button below.

Important notes:

- Make sure that your Facebook account has a Page role of Admin or Editor if it's a classic Page type.

- Make sure that your personal LinkedIn account is a Super admin of the Page. You'll sign in with your LinkedIn account to give SHP access to your Page.

Instagram

In order to connect your Instagram page to SHP, you will need to authenticate and link it through your Facebook page.

Step 1. Linking your Instagram Business page to a Facebook page

a. Login to Facebook
b. From your Feed, click Pages in the left menu.
c. Click on your Page you want to connect
d. In the left menu, scroll down and click Settings.
e. Click Linked Accounts in the left column, select Instagram, then click Connect Account.
f. Follow the prompts and enter your username and password for Instagram g. Once completed, a confirmation message indicating the successful connection of Instagram should be displayed.

Step 2. Connecting Instagram Business page to SHP

a. Log into SocialHP
b. Go to the Team page
c. Click on the +Add Page/Group button
d. Look for the Instagram Business and click Connect
e. Follow the authentication steps provided by Facebook
f. Click Continue to give SHP permissions to manage the selected page.
g. Once redirected to SHP, activate the page by clicking the small box beside it and select the Connect button below.

Important notes:

1. Make sure that your Instagram page is a Business page. You can easily switch from a profile to business by changing it on the Settings

2. Make sure that you're the admin of the Facebook page

3. Only one Instagram page can be connected to a Facebook Page and vice versa.

Twitter

These are the steps to follow in order to connect a Twitter page that you are managing:

1. Log into SocialHP

2. Click on the Settings gear on the Product Sidebar

3. Click on the Social Networks tab

4. Look for Twitter and select Connect

Important notes:

- Only one Admin can link a page to SHP at any given time. SHP uses Open Authorization (OAuth) which requires only one authorized account to connect the business page.

- Make sure that you and your team members know who will manage page and group connections to SHP. The person who adds or reconnects pages and groups using their social account should always be listed as an Admin of those pages or groups.

- If any changes are made to an Admin's page role or permissions, it will result in the account being disconnected from SHP.
