Groups allow you to tag Content and Team Members so that you can assign specific Content to a subset of users.

For example, members of your sales team will probably share Content that is vastly different from people in your IT department. Groups allow you to tag sales Content so only your sales team will see it.

Note: Unless you're part of a very large corporation, it's unlikely that you will need to create Groups.
